My name is Reese Ford, and I am currently a student at Houston High School, Class of 2027. I am an active member of the Memphis Thunder Aquatic Club, which has been a fulfilling and foundational part of my life.

In addition to athletics, I have pursued academic opportunities that have deepened my understanding of public policy and community health. I attended summer programs at Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University, where I explored how policy can shape public health initiatives and expand access to wellness resources. Through the 901 Wellness Initiative, I aim to provide more youth in the 901 area with opportunities to engage in sports and develop healthy lifestyles.

My name is Andie Ford, and I am a Co-Founder of the 901 Wellness Initiative. I am currently a student at Houston High School, Class of 2026, and have a passion for water sports. I serve as Captain of both the Ponies Co-ed Water Polo Team and the Houston High School Swim Team. I also play for the Bluff City Blues and swim for Memphis Thunder Aquatic Club.

The inspiration for this foundation stems from a close friend whose family had recently immigrated from Venezuela and faced financial challenges that made it difficult for him to continue swimming. Witnessing this struggle opened my eyes to the broader issue of limited access to youth athletics due to financial constraints. Through the 901 Wellness Initiative, I am committed to reducing these barriers and ensuring that all children, regardless of their economic background, have the opportunity to participate in sports, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills through teamwork and wellness.
